Rebecca Rotzler is a high-profile, Green elected official. As Deputy Mayor
of New Paltz, she has already shown the world the green way to run a
village: environmental improvements, social and economic justice, and the
joy of politics. Many greens are interested in seeing Rebecca run for

Rebecca Rotzler is the Deputy Mayor of the Village of New Paltz, NY and is
also elected as the government representative to the New Paltz Central
Schools District-wide Committee. She is employed by the Principals’ Center,
a program offering professional development services to school
administrators. She serves as the NY representative to GP-US and as the
GP-US Peace Action Committee Co-Chair.
Drawing upon the influences of her non-violent Yupik Eskimo culture, she has
served as a panelist for the Multilcultural Conference, the African-American
and the Latino Leadership Conference, the Womens’ Studies Conference and the
Trans-Feminism Conference at SUNY New Paltz.
Rebecca Rotzler is an active member of Alternatives to Military, an
organization promoting counter-military recruitment and as well as 9/11
People Against Racism, a group formed following the 9/11 tragedies in the
effort to offer assistance to targeted individuals and ensure community
harmony. |
