Let
me tell you a little about myself.
I was born in a hospital in Phillipsburg, New Jersey on February 10, 1952.
My parents took me home to their hometown of High Bridge, New Jersey where I
grew up, was educated and still live.
My father owned a car dealership and a body shop. He enlisted in the Army
and was a World War II veteran, a Chief Warrant Officer. His unit received
two presidential citations for bravery and duty above and beyond the call at
the Battle of the Bulge. He was and always will be my hero. After the war he
became a car salesman. My mother worked in a dress factory when I was
younger. Then she became a hairdresser and eventually had seven beauty shops
and owned several different businesses. She is my other hero.
After graduating high school, I continued my education at a small private
college nestled in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains in Greeneville,
Tenn. I majored with a B.A. in English Literature and with two minors in
Spanish and Art History.
For the past 25 years or so, I have been a computer consultant. I am
currently a computer consultant for a very large consulting company based in
New Jersey. My current client is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies
in the world. Most of my experience has been working for Fortune 100
companies located in New Jersey. I design, build and support critical
business software applications and databases that help run very large
companies.
It is this computer experience that makes me think in common sensible ways.
In the computer business we have a saying, "Garbage in - Garbage out!" This
means that if you build a system or process with bad data and poorly trained
and inexperienced semi-professionals, you will be guaranteed a system or
process that doesn't work the way it is suppose to work.
This is typically the way that our politicians in this country do things.
There is no common sense about what they do. Instead, what they do is spend
our hard earned tax dollars to help their friends and business associates
get even richer than they are.
I have learned that this is not good for America. And it is certainly not
good for America's people.
And I have also learned that the time has come to put a stop to it. And with
your help - we will do it!
It's time for the lying, thieving weasels to go!
My Favorites things to do:
I love to golf.
For the past 7 years, I have been on the Board of Directors and the
Secretary of the High Bridge Hill's Golf Association. We are located at the
High Bridge Hills Golf Club in historic High Bridge, New Jersey. I have just
been relected to the Board for another three year term.
I am a writer. I recently completed my latest book, Look No More, which is a
romantic adventure about an ex-ace jet fighter pilot and a concert pianist
who end up fighting terrorists in war-torn Iraq.
I love Country music. I play the guitar and I like to think of myself as a
singer. But my darling wife, Unni, the angel that God sent to watch over me,
often reminds me to keep my day job and not try to make it on my vocal
chords alone. And my wife is usually right about these things.
I also have a son, Charles Thomas Maxham II, 28, who lives in Texas and |
