Born and raised in Ohio, now living in Lexington, Kentucky; I am the average
American citizen. I believe that America, with all her faults, is still the
greatest home of freedom, rights, justice, military might, technology, and
opportunity in the world. With such greatness comes great responsibility and
hope. Consider the following:
* America is in crisis. The slow moving and territorial characteristics of
the two party system need to be changed. Make no mistake, change can be
painful. People will usually accept change only after a crisis or when a
crisis is perceived on the horizon.
* You need a leader most like you. We elect people to vote on issues for us.
* We need solutions, not politics. I am running for office to bring about
change. I am outside the current political system, but see this as an
advantage.
* You can help now! I need you to be part of the plan. I am no politician,
but I care about making a difference in our country and in our world.

My name is Stephen Paul Adams, but for most I go by Steve. I am running for
President. Have people asked me if I really understand what I am asking for?
Yes. The Presidency is no easy job and should not be entrusted to anyone who
can write a nice web site. Here are the basics:
I have a "real job" much like many of you. I work at a local technology
company where I design software. I am also a part time local pastor of the
United Methodist Church, serving at St. Luke UMC. I have been a volunteer
church youth counselor since 1989. On multiple trips and outings, people
have trusted the lives of their children with me. What is more precious or
valuable than one's children?
I have been married since 1991 to my wife Mary and we have two children
Daniel (13) and Liz (8). Yes, when elected in 2008, I will be the youngest
President in history at the age of 42. As of December 2006, I am a
registered Independent (former Republican.) My wife is a registered
Democrat. We live together happily and reach middle ground on many issues.
We agree to disagree on others.
